Después de 20 años al frente de Judas Priest, Rob Halford decidió emprender su carrera en solitario. Llevándose consigo a Scott Travis, batería de Priest, y reclutando a un buen elenco de músicos, formó su propio proyecto, llamado Fight, sumándose en música y estética a las nuevas corrientes que nutrieron al género, aquel Groove Metal que pocos años antes concibieron los tejanos Pantera. Mientras en Judas Priest unos hacían sus proyectos en solitario y otros quedaban en standby hasta nueva orden y mejor época, Fight debutó en la escena con un primer álbum llamado War Of Words.

Todas las canciones fueron íntegramente compuestas por Halford, desvelándose así el porcentaje de genialidad que aportaba en Priest, pues tanto la calidad como versatilidad que se notan en las canciones van más allá de la mera influencia por aquel nuevo Metal que se hacía sitio, esbozando diferentes atmósferas que se respiran en el álbum, unas más clásicas, otras más modernas y otras que emprenden rumbo hacia nuevos horizontes con la misma inquietud e inventiva que la banda británica de la que Rob fue voz.

En ese reclutamiento de músicos, el ex-Priest acertó de pleno, tanto con ese ya conocido Scott Travis, que demostraba una vez más su creatividad y contundencia en el doble bombo, como con los guitarristas Russ Parrish y Brian Tilse, que ornamentaron el trabajo con sólidos riffs e inspiradísimos solos, adaptándose a las diferentes estructuras que exigían las nuevas canciones, 12 piezas de alta talla…

Curiosa sorpresa nos guarda el disco, un álbum que sirvió para muchas cosas, una de ellas era descubrir cuán importante era Halford como miembro del equipo compositivo de Judas Priest, sacándole de su seno a ver cómo se las arreglaba sólo, con óptimos resultados; y otra para que este artista reordenara sus ideas para con más convicción y fuerza volver al estilo y banda que lo vio crecer como lo que es, un icono, un arquetipo modélico que reúne la mayoría de la esencia que define a la escena…

… Un Dios del Metal.

NOTA: Esta critica es mejor que la que yo hubiese podido hacer sobre esta magnifica obra. Este disco es de mis favoritos!!

En el 2001 el Australiano Peter Linka, traduce las letras escritas para los albums editados con Nemesis (las ediciones bajo Nemesis estaban en idioma Hungaro) al idioma ingles. En agosto del 2005, despues de varios discos editados, cambios de formacion e interminables complicaciones judiciales, debido a que existian alrededor de nueve bandas registradas con el mismo nombre "Nemesis". Toman la decision de cambiar el nombre de la banda por el de "Age Of Nemesis" y firman contrato con el sello discografico Magna Carta, con el proyecto de relanzar el material editado en el pasado, pero ahora en ingles.

Terra Incognita fue lanzado en el 2002, y relanzado en ingles en el 2003. En el 2007 es relanzado nuevamente en ingles con Magna Carta, segundo album en ingles como "Age Of Nemesis" y la nueva formacion y el tercero en idioma ingles.

Terra Incognita es un disco conceptual que desarrolla la historia de una mujer muerta, escrita por el guitarrista Zoltan Fabian. Historia acompañada con elocuentes lineas melodicas y sorpendentes instrumentaciones.

Actualmente esta banda se llama "Age Of Nemesis" y fue formada en 1997 como "Nemesis". Procedentes de Hungria, ellos hacen Metal Progresivo y estan fuertemente influenciados por bandas como Dream Theater y Symphony X. Han editado sus albums en su idioma natal y posteriormente en ingles. Recomendado!!
