Banda de Dinamarca formada en 1982 por los guitarristas Jürgen Sandau y Michael Stützer, el bajista Morten Stutzer, Carsten Nielsen en batería y Carsten Lohmann en las vocales. En 1984 editaron los demos "Shellshock" y "Deeds Of Darkness". En 1985 Carsten Lohmann deja Artillery, y Flemming Ronsdorf ocupa su lugar. Con esta nueva formacion en ese mismo 1985 editan su tercer demo titulado "Fear Of Tomorrow", bajo el sello Neat Records y lanzan al mercado su primer LP titulado, "Fear Of Tomorrow". En 1987 editan y lanzan su segundo LP de nombre "Terror Squad". Ambos albums son considerados actualmente clasicos de culto en la escena del Trash, a pesar de haber sufrido una mala promocion en su epoca por parte de Neat Records. En 1989 el guitarrista Jurguen Sandau abandona la banda, pero el bajista Morten Stutzer pasa a ocupar su posicion y el lugar de Stutzer fue ocupado por la nueva incorporacion Peter Thorslund. Con esta nueva formacion graban y lanzan en 1990 su tercer material titulado "By Inheritance" , bajo el sello Roadrunner Records. La carrera de esta gran banda termino en 1991, algunos de sus miembros continuaron con proyectos musicales durante el resto de la decada de los 90's. En 1998 el sello Mighty Music lanzo una compilacion de Artillery titulada "Deadly Relics", la cual contiene mezclas de viejos demos, mas dos temas de una cinta promocional de 1989. Este hecho dio motivo para que Artillery se reuniera de nuevo en 1999 y editaran y lanzaran su cuarta y ultima produccion titulada "B.A.C.K.", bajo el sello Diehard Music.
